vCate Blanchett’s first film appearance was in the 1990 movie, Kaboria.
Her role was minimal. In various interviews, Cate has recounted that she was traveling in Egypt and needed money to stay another week.
She says that one of her friends told her they were looking for extras for a film.
Half-jokingly, half-jokingly, Cate says they offered payment and free falafel, but when they didn’t deliver on the promise of free falafel, she left, and “Blanchat left.”
